Garbh Sanskar:Fertility In Ayurveda

Optimising Fertility In Ayurveda:
When you're pregnant, it is the perfect time to embrace a more holistic approach to your health.
Trying to get pregnant may be stressful and it can be a tense time waiting  to come around. What is important is that optimising your health: Remember that when we are tense then our circulatory channels are also tense, tight and contracted. If this happens then the blood vessels nourishing the uterus, the fallopian tubes and the nervous system can also be constricted, which is the opposite of what is needed to conceive. It is easy to say it, but just try to relax and let nature work her course. Trust in nature. You come from a long line of fertile ancestors. Ayurveda recommends a regular oil massage to keep your body relaxed and and your spirit calm. Of course, the benefits of yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation practices have a deep impact on the quality of the nervous system and I would strongly recommend you include a daily practice in your fertility boosting schedule.
Ayurveda believes that any obstructions in the body render the reproductive system deficient, and a programme of detoxification followed by rejuvenation will be necessary to re establish the health of the reproductive tissues.

To enhance fertility, any signs of the doshas (Vata,Pitta,Kapha)  being out of balance must be normalised.Working out which doshas you are both dominant in may also help you understand each other better, in that your approach to life and child rearing may be different.Dosha regulates the nervous system. The menstrual cycle is closely related with the nervous system and a relaxed nervous system helps to have a smooth menstrual cycle. It also affects the plasma tissue responsible for much of the nourishment of the tissues and the quality of the menstrual flow. The key here is to balancing doshas. We treat how to balance doshas for pregnancy during visit to our hospital.Follow our doshas balancing programme for better fertility and enhance chances for healthy baby.you are as balanced as possible before conceiving.Once the body is nourished by a healthy diet & lifestyle, general tonics and fertility enhancing herbs can be taken. These herbs can also help offset the effects of stress in today’s busy lifestyles.
Avoid stress as much as possible. Go to bed on time and don't miss your morning massage. Take care of your protein needs, including some dairy protein in your diet, such as panir, milk and lassi. Engage in a spiritual practice such as the Transcendental Meditation technique. For women, it is particularly important to take care of yourself during menstruation. Follow the ayurvedic guidelines for that time: avoid traveling, avoid skipping meals, eat foods that are warm, light, and easy to digest, and try to avoid foods  that are highly chemicalized. And take real rest during your menstrual cycle. Both men's and women's fertility levels are on the decline today. The increased levels of chemicals and pesticides in the foods we eat, and the high stress levels associated with modern life responsible for mental status as well.
The health of all tissues is dependant on having good digestion (or ‘agni’) which controls how well we assimilate food into the body. This is achieved through a deep internal cleansing to balance the doshas and remove toxins (known as ‘ama’), ensuring digestion works optimally. Reducing toxicity in the body is especially important.  Research has consistently shown that chemical pesticides reduce sperm count.Hence, the first step in producing healthy sperm and eggs is to ensure digestion is working well. For many, yoga is highly effective because it works on your state of mind as well as the body.

Ayurveda focuses not only on creating a child, but also on ensuring that the conditions are optimal for healthy development from conception to the time of birth.  Any imbalances in the mother’s body might otherwise have an impact on the development of the unborn child, and this can often lead to birth defects or lifelong health problems.
